NOW SHIPPING: DEI’s New Ultra-High Level Security System is Designed to Meet or Exceed Stringent Requirements for Europe and Australia

Vista, Calif. (6-6-00) – Though sold at Viper retailers in the U.S., the new Viper 700 ESP (379V) has been designed to pass Australian Insurance Standard specifications, as well as all of the various European standards such as Thatcham in the U.K.

Based on the best-selling Viper 600 ESP with on-board relays, the 379-series offers a number of additional features which offer extraordinary protection:

All critical wires on the main harness are black, and screwed into place, preventing a thief from unplugging the module.

The system features a triple interrupt, with 3 on-board relays to disable starter, fuel and ignition; two normally open and one normally closed

It’s a four channel system with two flex channels and a superheterodyne receiver for exceptional range, and features 18 quintillion rolling codes, for absolute immunity to code grabbers.
To satisfy the Australian standard, the system features an innovative protected override method: to disarm the system without a transmitter, a special key is inserted into the back-up battery siren.

According to Mark Rutledge, DEI’s Director of Product Development. "Thanks to DEI’s engineers, we now have a platform adaptable enough to cross all borders and pass all compliance tests!"

DEI’s 379-series system is available now. Domestic MSRP uninstalled is $349. To speak to an authorized Viper dealer near you, call toll-free 1-800-274-0200 during business hours, or check the yellow pages under auto security
