Hmm I think yours speaker is really bad. Sound like from bucket. Sell your speakers and bay something like JL audio, RE audio or other brands. For Pioneer is best Magnat like series RX or tribal.

Hi
I have 3 of these in the trunk of my corolla and I am happy with theur performance, I did not have to spend a fortune to buy a big  brand amp to run them all together, those subs run better at 2 ohms ( parallel wiring)I have 3 SOUNDSTORM F1500D mono amps that deliver at least 800 watts RMS each, and I use an inline rca volume control between the sub output of the head unit and the first amp; they are really a good value for money. being in USA you could buy the new model 1Fd1500 that delivers 1000 RMS at 2 ohms. but if you can spare us$1400 you could buy 2 PREMIER PRS-D1200SPL that deliver 1000 watts RMS but they cost 3 times the soundstorm amps, just check soundstormlab.com

Thx for aswering my post!

rubenlh:
If i play the subs in 2 ohm then I wil need 2 amp to play them right?
What I know is that 2 subs with dual 4ohm cant play in 2ohm parallel wiring only 1 or 4 ohm parallel wiring.
1 sub can play in 2 ore 8ohm
Corect me if im rong.
I got some ideas on another forum for an mtx thunder ta81001 1500rms in 1ohm and i found it on half price so i both it.
Sorry my english Im from sweden.

rubenlh you are really sick. Three buckets in one big trunk hmmm. Ok If your choice  is pioneer bay amp like mega Mac storm and kick your brain  with these buckets. But if you have chance  listen how sounds JL audio W7 series or something else. When you know what sounds is music. In Lithuania if we have chance to bay something of real speakers we never look at pioneer . And I think in USA a more brainless than europ

Hi
I think that the MTX is a great buy and I had the same idea ( run 2 or 3 subs with a big amp)before I bought these new pioneer subs, It is correct you would need 2 amps at 2 ohms and if the MTX is capable to run smoothly delivering 1500 watts RMS at 1 ohm then you will be OK with it. just check the temperature after running it at least for 45 minutes at high volumes. I particularly prefer to run each sub with 1 amp as it is cheaper to buy 2 or 3 amps that can deliver 1000 watts rms each, and it is  difficult to get 1 big amp that can deliver 2000 watts at 8 ohms ( 1 ohm is dangerous and not efficient)and in the event that the load is to big and the big amp dies, you can still run the 2 with 1 amp. until you buy a replacement, ( it already happened to me)If you already got the amp you can use it or if you got it at 1/2 price try to resell it at a higher price and buy 2 amps that can deliver 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms so your subs will perform at their best ( 2000 rms combined, not just 1500 watts), and at 2 ohms any amp will perform ok with no risk of overheating.

I am sick for efficiency and value for money, I spend more money where it really matters. like the head unit, I got the top pioneer head unit that allows me to control EVERY audio feature, equalizer, high pass crossovers, subwofer level+ crossover+ slope, BBE adjustable control, 5 channel time aligment, these pioneer subs require only 22 liters for a sealed enclosure (great feature to save  space and have more subs in the trunk)and deliver a great sound at a medium price the soundstorm amps are at the lower price level but they perform fawlessly ( each just cost 180 dollars , that is 5 watts RMS per 1 dollar), to illustrate the performance ( power ) of them I will tell you that just running them at about 60% volume ( playing only mp3 from my iPod -I do not play CD's)they shake my garage door when I get home and they shake the rear view mirrors of the  car in front of me ( when I stop at a red light), do yours do the same?

I have Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS. This head unit have all what I need. But I am talking about sound quality. I need loud and clean sound. I have two amps. One for my front acoustic and other for sub. For sub I am using JL audio. Its one 12“, but sounds like 15“. Because I am using vented box. Yes this box is bigger than your two box. But sound quality is most important for sound. Ok you can shake livers. But you have only loud sound. If it is most important for you I don’t have to tell you no more. and about shake the rear view mirrors of the  car in front of me. i can do it with one SWR 1522! link for movie -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txpU4pCoGUw
