Hey, I'm pretty much completely new to this stuff and need some help getting an amp for my new speakers my friends and i installed, mostly my sub, it says 1200 watt on it but i dont know whether to get an amp with more or less power, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated  

1200 peak or 1200 rms, makes a huge difference. Also, what brand is the sub, because alot of subs are very overrated, mainly the lower end brands. You always want to be within at least 5-10% of the recommended rms.
