I have a 2004 Ford Crown Vic. Sport. I have an aftermarket Power Acoustic radio in it. I just installed my amp and 2 twelve inch JBL subs as well. Everything sounds great and works fine until I start to drive. Whenever I drive above about 5 miles per hour, the power to the amp cuts off, and of course the subs too. The problem is speed sensitive, not rpm sensitive. I have re-grounded the power supply and checked the RCA's from the radio but found nothing. I had a friend walk next to my car while I drove with the trunk open and he saw the power light shutting off. As soon as I slow down, the power returns. When in park or neutral, I can rev the engine as high as I want and the subs still work. I hard wired the amp to the car battery, not the radio. I have had this same set up in 2 previous vehicles and have had no problems. I am very familiar with these types of systems but cannot figure this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
