I'm pulling an older Kenwood out of my '96 F350 diesel and considering an Alpine IDAX300 because I listen almost exclusively to my IPod (I never carry CDs). Another candidate is the Sony CDX-GT820IP.
Can anyone give me recommendations?

Hands down Alpine over the Sony. More for quality reasons over functionality. I've seen alot of Sony units come back in for repair where I work.
