I don't know a *** thing about car stereo.. i have an indash dvd player, subwoofer with 1000amps, 2 headrest tv, viper remote/alarm system in my 2004 honda crv, bestbuy installed them but didn't recommend me anything.. anyway. the alternator was replaced once, honda machanic said because of the accessories, replaced the batteries twice at batterplus.. i love to keep what i have in my car, but i can't afford to replace new battery and alternator everymone. can anyone recommend me what to do please!!!

You need to install a capacitor inline between you battery and your amplifier. What is happening is that you are drawing all your systems power from the battery. Your alternator tries to keep up with the electrical load, but can't, and that's why your alternator died. So you need to buy a capacitor and install it following directions on package for charging and installing. They don't cost much, maybe $100. You need at least a 1 to 1.5 farad cap. This should solve your problem. Let me know how this helps.

bighef the first thing is to upgrade ur alt to a 16 volt hc alt next thing a capacitor if that dont fix it best buy wired something in wrong for it to keep killing ur batt/alt their not what you call qualified

what does anybody think about sealed and ported boxes the up and downs of both i use a sealed pro box with two alpine typr r 1242d with a 2000 watt us amp wired 1 ohm i like the sound but i want sound of four without adding more subs/amp i heard to put them in a ported pro box whats you guys opinion
