its my 1st post ere. u ppl seem crazy about ur car audio n kw what ur talkng about. i kw nothing of car audio. im in india where we dont have the luxuries of shopping for the specific equipment we're after. so im goin to have to get the parts all of you recommend shipped all the way from the US, so pls take some time to advise me because anything done wrong will be a whole lot of trouble to send back n gt replaced or refunded.
heres what im working with. its a toyota innova (MUV) - dnt mean to sound ignorant bt im nt sure if its available where u stay.

i have a pioneer DEH-2090MP HU (dumb, but it was the best they had to offer when i got the car). im hoping i wont have to change it because i dont want no fancy displays or have LCDs in my ride. all i care about is music... AUDIO!
could u please tell me what all stuff i need to get to make the sound in my car perfect. i listen to all kinds of music, but im into trance, psychadelic, hip-hop, rock.

im hoping to build me an audio setup which will be very deep, clear n envelope me. im not into really loud stuff tat'll leave a ringing in my ears or sometng tat'll wake the neighbours. the music should stay in the car rather than shake the ride. i hope u understand what im trying to get across. im not into the top-of-the-line stuff or spending on big brand names but im more than willing to pay for quality. i need depth in my music. moneys no object for quality.

all im certain of is the morel supremo 6 (tweeters, rite)
the rest, i leave to u. what else do i need? amps, subs, crossovers, drivers (i dont know whats what)
pls give me the whole list. please put in ur recommendations. cant get any help here locally as know one is knowledgeable of these kinds of things n no professionals here because these things r not available ere

guess this is my new home for a long time to come. (gotta install the stuff, wiring n god kws wot else, all by myself)

thanks a lot ppl, tis is my last resort.
pls put in ur suggestions

Hello winXPHE,

If I read correctly you mention that you have no experience or knowledge of car audio installs... (i kw nothing of car audio.)
So the very first advice I could give you is that if you are going to install your system by yourself, first you need to know the basics of car audio and installations, educate yourself regarding the risk of bad installations that may leave you with a burnt head unit, fried amp or the always present risk of fire handling 12V through your car. (please don´t skip on that part and use a good fuse line protection)

Then you may select what you need for your system.
We could write here for ever and never end recomendig you what to install, but if you already have a Pioneer Radio, you could go with some nice Pioneer 6X9 Speakers, and some good quality Mids for those Morel tweeters, (althought you could afford a more complete speacker system for your doors with the price of those Morel tweeters)think about it, and not having experience you may end blowing those delicate proffesional Morel Highs.
Anyway, a small basic but loud sytem might be ok for you, a set of (whatever size fit in you doors speakers) a couple of 6X9 for your rear deck, a 4 channel amp 100X4 minimum and a single 12´ in a sealed box would be fine, But remember to get local advice, there must be a lest a couple of trust shops where to hang out and ask, be friend of those installers, they will help you.
Good luck.
Alfredo.

I agree with the first reply. Study and learn all you can. It's not as simple as throwing a bunch of pieces in line and it sounds good. If you're doing this yourself, You have to know how to change settings, why you are changing them and what you expect to hear when they are changed. That's for one component. Throw another piece in line, now you have to know what the first setting will do the the piece down the line (crossover for instance).
As for what the other guy said about some 6x9s. Uch!!!
Some like em, most of us don't. If you want SQ(sound quality) look around. If you like Morel (a very nice speaker BTW) stick with morel. I personally like MB Quarz but to each their own. Find a nice component set, build some kick pods and the front end will sound nice. (The front is where you want most of your sound) then buy a nice set of coaxials (maybe a 5.25" or 6") for your rear dash. That'll be your rear fill. Round it out with a nice 10 inch sub in the trunk in a sealed box for your bottom end punch and you are set. Well, all for the extras that will power all this. Run 2 amps. I've never liked using a multi channel amp to run my system. Go for a 300W mono amp for your sub, maybe a 600Wx4 for your speakers. (I like to have headroom so I don't have to max out my amp. That gives you 150W a speaker. That should be plenty to make your speakers dance.

If you want the sound inside your car, and not outside, pull out your interior and dynamat everything that could rattle. That'll be your trunk lid, your roof, your doors, your fenders, etc. The stuff aint cheap, but it's worth the money. And best of all, no waste. Ever last piece of the stuff is used.

Other than that, it's up to you to do your homework on what you want for components. We can all tell you what to buy, but it's up to you. You have to listen to it, and you have to like the sound they produce.

Hope this helped.
