Hi all
I need a bit of help. I am competing in SPL in Rookie International 2. I been working my ass off trying to get a higher reading on IASCA meter but just cant seem to get anywhere.
At present im hitting 146.2db on IASCA world record meter.
Im sure i can get a little higher, hoping to try and hit the 147 mark.
Is there anyone out there that can maybe help me out? I will rebuild my entire box if thats what its gonna take. I know there are some SPL guru's on this site.:-D
Let me give some brief info on my equipment and car: Subs - 2 x Starsound SSWD-2800 -> 2800w 4ohm DVC (not 100% sure on RMS rating. Think its 700w RMS) Amp - VTrek monoblock. 1500w RMS at 1ohm Cabling - 4 guage power and ground, RF twisted RCAs Head Unit - Kenwood frontloader, MP3, WMA. Cant remember the model right now but if needed i can get it Sub box - 95 litre with 2 x 4 inch RF flared ports. Car - Opel/Vauxhaul Corsa B. (resonant freq,55,56,57hz)
Please, i would really really REALLY appreciate it if someone could help me out.
If there is any other details that anyone requires, please let me know.
Thanx

Do you have your subs ported to the cabin of the vehicle?

first i would run 0ga wire. then i would play with about a hundred diffrent ports. i would also tune the ports anywhere from mid 50's to low 60.
