Ive been lookin at gettin some subs and I was planning on mounting the amp (kenwood, 1800 watt max) to the side of the box (dual 12" bandpass).  I once heard someone saying that it is bad to attach the amp to the box because of the vibration.  It seems like the only and most practical location to mount in my situation to be able to reach the bass boost and what-not easily.

Is it an ok place to mount the amp, or will vibration be destructive to the amp?

and, if it wasn't bad, how do you mount it without destroying the box with screw holes?

If you're going to run a dual 12" bandpass with an 1800 watt amp, crank it up all the way and you'll be hard pressed to find anything on your vehicle that is not vibrating. I myself have two amps mounted on top of my dual 12 sealed box and have not seen any problems. As far as the screw holes go, as long as you're not moving the position of the amp every other week, it's not really going to hurt anything. Good luck.
