Alpine iva-d310 dvd player question

I just installed an alpine iva-d310 in my car. I have a 1993 300zx with the bose sound system...i installed everything just like it was before when i had a pioneer cd player in my car. The unit will come on and tune to station but there is no sound coming from the speakers..I have a kicker mono amp and 3 mtx road thunder 10 subs..The amp and subs are working fine but the car speakers are not...I was wondering does anyone have any experience with this or a similar model dvd player?  Im not sure if there are any settings on the dvd player that i have to adjust or anything like that i am checking that this evening..Any help would be greatly appreciated
