2006 dodge ram stereo wont work

I have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 and i would like to put an aftermarket stereo in so i ordered the mounting kit and the wiring harness put it all together then went to put it in and when i connected the aftermarket stereo the little power button would only lite up red and when i went to press it to turn the power button on nothing happened it just stayed red and it would shut off but when i turned the truck off then back on it would lite up again only to then shut back off i tried to switch the power wires nothin i dont know what to do plz need help real bad you can email me at tramm2128@yahoo.com or even call or text me at 8152106002 i am desprete to get my stereo in my truck plz help
