Right now they are on sale for $219.99 plus shipping. Texas residents pay sales tax as well.
For those interested in a Dash Cam for work or personal, the VC-100 records both video and audio in 720x480 resolution at 30 frames per second.
It plugs in to the vehicle's cigarette lighter or can be hard wired. No buttons to push to start recording. It starts as soon as the ignition is turned on and time and date are embedded in the video.
It comes with an 8gb CF card that holds 8-10 hrs of video and then overwrites the oldest so you always have 8-10 hrs of video. It supports up to 32gb CF card if more video is needed or you can lower the frame rate.
The picture quality is good both day and night. In fact I think it is comparable to systems departments pay $3-4000.00 for. The system is linux for reliability and dependable service. I have one in my vehicle and my wife's as well. It always records without fail. You can see the red light flashing so you know it is recording. You can also disable the audio.
I comes with a suction cup mount to mount on the windshield for easy installation. I think it is an excellent product for the money.
