Any experience with Clarion VZ709 or JVC KD-AVX77?

I am looking at a Clarion VZ709 to replace my factory HU and it all looks great on paper. But strangely, I haven't found any reviews of actual users nor have I seen any screenshots of the interface. Obviously I would like to avoid making the same mistake simply buying to specs and I want to see, or better yet experience, the interface before I commit to buy. [I am a Mac person and a simple and elegant user interface is very close to my heart.  ]

A friendly Crutchfield guy recommended the Clarion VZ709, but they had sold only three so far ... he also recommended the JVC KD-AVX77 as a great alternative, praising the buttonless widescreen. But again, how does this work in day to day use?

Here are my questions:

- The Clarion VZ709 is available since a while but the only review I found is on Crutchfield.com, nothing on cnet.com or anywhere else I looked. If this is such a great HU why are there not more reviews out there, including videos on YouTube? Even here on this forum a search for VZ709 had no results.

- If you happen to own this HU do you like the interface, is it easy to use, can you find songs quickly on your iPod, how's Bluetooth working with an iPhone?

- If this exists, can you please point me to a forum, site or blog where I can learn from actual users how they like this product?

- Does anyone have experience with the JVC KD-AVX77?

- I live in a college town and the only car audio shop in town is Best Buy and they have nothing on their wall that is in this category.
