I am looking at buying the JVC HRD50. It has MOSFET drivers at 4ohms output. can i connect the front+ and rear+ to the +side of a 2ohm speaker and the front- and rear- to the -side of the speaker

That might just be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. No. Chances are, it will go into protection and shut off the output.
